Sore in leg and heart

Dear all,

Good news! I passed my FYP..matter of fact, the whole class passed which means we all get to graduate together and no one gets left out!! :D Isn't that great? Now everyone can sleep peacefully. Then again, I have no idea what marks did I get nor do I know what sort of honours will I be ending up with..* please let it be second upper class..since first is definitely out of list already * ( T.T )

So what was I up to so far?

1) Monday:
 - Broga Hill Climb:
Woke up 3.30 am in the morning ( getting less than 3 hours of sleep), set out to Broga
around 4 and start hiking around 5am. Climbing up was relatively easy except for the last peak where
boulders were blocking the way and one have to climb up to get to the top ( would be easy if only it is less
slippery..damn the rainy season). Climbing down was a nightmare!!Looking downwards at the steepness
of   the hill and start wondering how did I get up there in the first place...slight altophobia perhaps.
Anyway, the climb was worth it: nice scenery, got to know a new canine friend, good workout..the cons?
A nice pair of shoes gone dirty and messy, a sore quads ( it's still sore!), a few slight cuts here and there
and worst of all, one shade darker..despite all the effort taken to prevent myself from further tan..well,
some of them enjoyed the sun because : They are sunproof or probably they are just Indians ( not being
   racist here)..

A newfound furry friend
Just the Fugly me

  - SLEPT LIKE A LOG

  - Went for Life of Pi with SP and SK..not bad a movie..interesting scripts, nice graphics..but storyline a
     bit unbelievable..well, fair enough though..7/10.

2) Tuesday:
   - Was supposed to go to Genting then all plans got screwed up..half of the other party in the class went to
Pulau Ketam ( Nobody seemed to trust me when this ex-Klang boy tries to tell them it's BORING
there)..well, nevermind...Went to MidValley with SP instead to hunt for some early X-mas pressie. Both
of us walking like some weird duck due to Quads soreness @@

3) Wednesday:
   - Initially planned to go to FRIM ( Originally supposed to head to Gua Tempurung and maybe overnight
over at Cameron H but well, things did not went smooth) but wasn't feeling too well..SK decided to call
it off because of me. Was planning to stay at home and rest but the gang asked me out for Wreck-
it-Ralph so tag along and watched it second time ( first time was 3D which I don't really enjoy that
     much).Highly recommended : 9/10

  - After movie, gang decided to go for Japanese Buffet at Shogun 1U...eat till burst..end up puking half of
what I ate in the washroom..honestly I am not a buffet person..SK and AD went back first. Me and SP
continues hunting for xmas pressie for the boys inc myself ( THANKS SP!!)...got a few clothes for CNY
    2013..

4) Thursday:
  - Oh it's today..didn't do much..just went out for lunch with gang, went to gym because I have not done
so  for the past few days and I can see myself getting more like a balloon waiting to burst out of my
    clothes.

and that's all for now..

" Attraversiamo "

Dear All,

Currently, the Monday morning weather is fair..but the environment here is NOISY..some construction and renovation works at the second floor of my block..Bing Bang Bong..sigh..

So here I am.."enjoying" all the extra sounds and scenery over a cup of Tenom Cafe Latte..I am not an avid coffee drinker but I felt the need to have one this morning..Another heart-breaking shock of my life when I discovered that I have lost the whole folder of my Bossanovas and Jazz collections..I must have deleted it by accident without noticing it while transferring some other files into my portable hard disk..I swear I could have smack myself hard for being such a klutz!!! *cries*

Sorry..I shall continue to mourn my loss later..Lets get back to today's post for now..

Went to watch the movie " Eat , Pray , Love " yesterday and I found myself enjoying the show very much..

Based on the best-selling memoir of the similar title by Elizabeth Gilbert, this movie is about a woman who finds herself in the middle of a failed marriage and a fail relationship, thus embark on a journey in search of her spiritual faith and herself.

Portrayed by the ever beautiful Julia Roberts, we followed the travels of the author across the world ( Italy, India and Bali ) meeting different kinds of people and experience different kinds of culture..As we walk along with her, we are able to see the transformation of a lost distraught woman into a stronger one.

This movie if not the book is indeed an inspirational one..It makes you think..it makes you realise that life is more than what you think it is..it makes you feel connected and there are some scene in which you can relate yourself to that of what the author have went through..

There are quite a number of thought provoking quotes throughout the show and one of my favourite * Warning: Spoiler here * goes like this :

"Do not look at the world through your head, look at it through your heart."- Ketut Liyer

Well,I would like to share more of the movie but I wouldn't want to spoil it for you so watch it for yourself and do tell me what do you think of it.. :)

Well, that's all for now I guess...till then, take care and have a nice week ahead...now I shall continue to mourn my loss...sob..my poor collection of bossanovas jazz...why o why... \(T_T)/

See you later...alligator..

Yours Mourning,

Chris C

Rantings of a Homesick Crybaby

Dear All,

Hope that you're doing well over there..
Looks like it is raining over here again..Owh well,it is the rainy season all over again..

Anyway,I have just reached PJ yesterday..Somehow still feeling slightly homesick..Almost burst into tears yesterday when I saw a little girl bidding farewell to her big sister on the bus..This kind of scene never fail to wrench and touch my heart.. :x ( I know I'm a crybaby~)

Woke up this morning with a sore Trapz muscles though...all the room and toilet cleaning ( One month worth of dust and dirt) and luggage hauling ( from Bukit Jalil to PJ ).. I am not surprised..>< .. ouchie~

The next trip home would be on Christmas itself..Sob..Still a long way to go..

Oritey, I shall end my entry with a particular song from the animated movie " Bolt "...LOL.. Yeah, I watched it with my sis at home and we both loved it~

BARKING AT THE MOON By JENNY LEWIS ( From BOLT OST)

( Can't seemed to find any videos that is embedded enabled so I guess you guys have to click on the link above instead to listen to this song..sorry for the inconvenience :x)

LYRICS :

I have got so much to give, I swear I do.
I may not have nine lives, this one feels brand new.
Yes I've lived a good one.
I have tried to be true.
There are some things I never realized, till I met you.
How the wind feels on my cheeks, when I'm barking at the moon.

[chorus]
There is no home like the one you've got, cuz that home belongs to you.
Woo Woo! Here I come.
Woo Woo! Back to you.
There is no home like the one you've got, cuz that home belongs to you.

Well I was in trouble, bad.
I was so confused.
I may not see in color babe, but I sure can feel blue.
I have been a lot of things, they may not all be true.
My experience was so mysterious, till I met you.
Now the sun may rise in the east, but I'm barking at the moon.

[Chorus]
There is no home like the one you've got, cuz that home belongs to you.
Woo Woo! Here I come.
Woo Woo! Back to you.
There is no home like the one you've got, cuz that home belongs to you.

There is no home like the one you've got, cuz that home belongs to you.

There is no home like the one you've got, cuz that home belongs to you...

[end]

Till then, hope you guys enjoy the song and have a nice day ahead :)

A story of His Marchness on the month of March

Dear All,

I am BACK!!!
Please say that you guys missed me..pretty please~ NO? Awwwwww...Boo Hoo~
Yeah,it's been some few weeks back since I last updated my blog and this is due to lack of inspiration and motivation ( Yeah..since I don't get any support from anyone of you :P ) and also myself being occupied with class and stuffs ( What stuffs? I don't know either but there's always something which keeps me busy and yet I kept complaining of boredom all the time..how ironic..)

Of Steamboat and Vampires

Greetings to all,

Once again,it is a clear Sunday afternoon as well as the last day of January 2010..Time flies doesn't it..I can hardly imagine what have I achieved during this one whole month..Perhaps lots of time wasting and procrastinating as usual..

Anyway, back to the title today.."Of Steamboat and Vampires"..Haha..no,both does not relate to each other..no worries, there would not be anything about vampires enjoying a steamboat meal..

Firstly, steamboat huh?Well,a friend of mine who is an avid fan of stage drama, musical, acting etc etc and who also happened to be the president of a non-profit artistic association called "SeedismArt" directed a stage play called "The Steamboat's Story".He have been requesting me to attend this show couple weeks back and since I missed another of his show last year which was called "The Straw",I decided to make up for it by attending this show.So along with two other buddies,we head to Mutiara Shopping Complex situated at Jln Ipoh,KL where the show was held on the third day ( It is a four day show and the first two sessions was at the Theatre Hall of the HELP University College). And yeah, upon reaching the venue,we were escorted to a small little room at this place called the "Drama Cafe"..Never did I know that such a place actually existed..

As this is my first time attending a stage play drama,I didn't really know what to expect..nevertheless I took my seat and wait..the room slowly became dim...and suddenly "Poof"..spotlight..a girl with exceptionally thick make-up jumped out from nowhere..frankly speaking,I had a shock initially as I was sitting near to the place where she mysteriously appeared..haha..and so I found out that this a one-man act show..whereby the actor assume numerous roles all by himself..in this case,an actress by herself..pretty impressive..

The show "The Steamboat's Story" is about life of a middle-age housewife a.k.a Aunty..As she (the actress) narrates and acts through her way, fascinating the audience about real life fact of a housewife during preparation of the coming Chinese New Year Eve dinner and also side-tracked a bit towards memories of her younger days and lots of juicy gossips as that you will expect of a typical aunty at the market..With pretty convincing facial expression and different tone of voice and the well-chosen background music, the actress portrays not only the main character which is the housewife but also few other characters such as other gossiping aunties from the neighbourhood (sounded a lil bit like Desperate Housewives right?), the husband, parents-in-law, children etc etc..all these roles by herself.Pretty cool huh..

The show went well but towards the end of the show, using plush toys to substitute the family members of the housewife (I was puzzled as well at first),flashback of a recording showing glimpse of a news report about how a family of 4 was perished in an vehicle accident..then only I realised that it was the family members of the housewife and that the poor lady unable to accept the fact that all her beloved family members had pass on and there wouldn't be any chance for the usual CNY reunion dinner around the traditional steamboat style dinner..with that she went mad and the past memories of her family members tortured her poor soul and mind..and it was during this heart-wrenching scene,I actually cried and looking around,I realised that other audiences were either crying as well or trying to hold back their tears..

The fact that this stage show serves to remind us to appreciate each moment with our family members and loved ones before it is too late..Good storyline, good and convincing acting skills, what else could I say besides bravo and kudos..Then again, there are room for more improvements but I'm satisfied for now..:)

Hmmm..that is the rough description of "The Steamboat's Story" in my own understanding..My apologies if you find it confusing as it is hard to describe by words and it would be much better to watch it yourself though..Next..interesting..vampires..those blood-sucking mythical beings..take your guess what could it be all about..

.................well?

If you're guessing that I have turned myself into a Vampire,haha..of course not silly!! Yes,you have guessed correctly for those who managed to connect it with the movie "Cirque Du Freak : The Vampire Assistant"..LOL..But I have the feeling most of you would have connected it to another vampire-ish movie, New Moon..

It is not exactly a newly released movie but then again,yeah..this is my first ever late night (to be exact Midnight) movie at the cinema..Yes yes..I know..nothing impressive and most probably most of you have done it before me..outdated ain't I?Haha..Well,it was a last minute plan and the rest of movie had either all fully booked or left only with non-strategic seats..so the only movie left which looks appetising enough is this particular show.

To make things brief, based on a fantasy fictional book of the same title written by Darren Shan, this movie is about a young teenage named Darren Shan (errr...don't ask me why the author and the main character of the book/movie shares the similar name) who was turned into a half vampire and were forced to join the travelling freak show circus in order to save his best friend, Steven who then ends up opposing each other in a battle between the vampires and the vampaneezee...Yeah,that is more or less about it..with appearance of famous actors and actress such as Ken Watanabe (The Chairman from Memoirs of Geisha), Salma Hayek , John C.Reily etc etc..haha.. I can only conclude that its a fast-paced storyline movie but can be considered worth watching for those who are into fantasy and vampire-related movies..:)

Erm...hello?Ladies and Gentlemen,we have now reached the end of the "show"..hope that you people enjoyed the sleep "show" and once again, thank you for dropping by..very much appreciated..Hope to see all of you again..till then,au revoir..cheers and have a good one.. ;)

Yours Truly,

Chris C. a.k.a the steamboat fascinated vampire wannabe :P
